#1 Jazz Record in the U.S.A.

I just received exciting news our record, “West Side Story Reimagined” hit the #1 spot on the Jazz Weekly charts! This album was recorded live at Lincoln Center with the multi-Grammy nominated band, Bobby Sanabria Multiverse Big Band. This is a special album not only because it captured the music of Leonard Bernstein in a new light, but because 80% of the proceeds is going musicians in Puerto Rico who are still recovering from the hurricane. I am grateful to be in this band and for these awesome news.

Next Thursday, August 23rd, a new band will be taking the stage in Chicago, with singer/songwriter Kim Hasara. We are a group of artists who are playing music on our terms. We arranged jazz standards, Mo-town songs into funk, R&B jazz, and hip-hop. I'm looking forward to sharing our new arrangements next week. Details are in the Tour page.

West Side Story @Lincoln Center

I've been playing with Bobby Sanabria, my former professor at the Manhattan School of Music, for 2 years now. His band, the Multiverse Big Band has been nominated for 7 Grammy Awards and I am grateful to be in this band. Earlier this summer, we recorded the music of Leonard Bernstein's "West Side Story", live at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola at Lincoln Center. I am happy announce the album has just been released! There is great energy, arrangements, and solos! Aside from it being an uplifting album, another reason to support is that most of the proceeds go to help musicians in Puerto Rico who are still recovering from the hurricane. Lastly, we are performing at Lincoln Center Plaza for their Out of Doors concert series this Friday Aug 10! Don't miss it!

Looking Ahead...

Hello everyone, we just had an incredible show at the Hartford Jazz Festival with the Chembo Corniel Quintet. Therecwas an estimated 3,000 people in the audience, and we played with so much energy. I got to meet Kenny Kirkland's former booking agent. Kenny is hands down, one of the best jazz pianists that ever lived and it was nice to meet someone connected to him.
